No1Nowhere was Women Thrive Worldwide’s public awareness and mobilization campaign to build support for the International Violence Against Women Act.
The campaign increased public awareness and bolstered efforts at that time to garner support for the legislation on Capitol Hill.
The effort attracted Members of Congress, actors like Mayim Bialik (Big Bang Theory), rappers like Sage Francis, and gender equality advocates from around the world.

Dads for Daughters was a public awareness campaign to engage fathers in work to promote gender equality. Celebrity amplification on social media helped Dads for Daughters reach millions.

Recognizing New Mexico’s pride in its uniquely eclectic and diverse cultures and communities, I made it my goal as the Obama 2012 campaign’s state digital director in New Mexico to ensure all our supporters felt seen.
Obama for America — New Mexico
Challenge: Build digital engagement across a diverse statewide electorate during the 2012 presidential campaign.
Strategy: Develop culturally relevant digital content and build relationships with supporters across social media, SMS, and online channels.
Results: Facebook audience increased 308%, Twitter following increased 128%, and SMS subscriber base increased 146%.
Care2 — Digital Advocacy
Challenge: Increase the scale and effectiveness of digital advocacy campaigns.
Strategy: Combine audience growth, campaign content, petition creation, analytics, and contributor management.
Results: Relevant lead generation increased 18% year over year, and petition production increased 150% over two years.
Defenders of Wildlife — Online Advocacy
Challenge: Build public support for wildlife conservation and policy initiatives.
Strategy: Develop digital advocacy, membership, fundraising, social media, and supporter-engagement campaigns.
Results: Millions of constituent actions generated and millions of dollars raised through online fundraising.
Pop Culture Classroom — Education Through Storytelling
Challenge: Help audiences understand the educational value of comics, gaming, and popular culture.
Strategy: Combine storytelling, educational content, media relations, marketing, events, video, and digital communications.
Results: The work included educational comics, public programming, and media outreach featured in Westword and The Denver Post.
